Traveling Book Program
Program participants will be assigned a copy of A Place Unmade. One a time, each reader will receive the book, read the book, and mail it to the next person on their team. Throughout the program timeline, participants will post reviews and updates to social media to help author Carla Seyler reach more readers!
How does the program work?
Fill out the interest form.
Get matched with a team.
Read the book! Each reader will be asked to read the book within a maximum of 2 weeks from the date they receive the book. At or before the 2-week mark, participants will need to send the book to the next reader.
When a reader receives the book, they will be asked to share a story or post and tag Carla Seyler (@carlaseyler_author on IG)!
Readers will send the book to the next reader in line when they’ve finished the book or by their deadline, whichever comes first. Participants will be asked to provide updates to the program coordinator.
To reduce shipping costs, use Media Mail via USPS (typically $4-6)
If possible, add tracking and share the info with your team captain
Be sure to mail the book in secure, waterproof packaging to prevent any damage

Program participants will have the opportunity to earn points as they read by completingthe following tasks:
Earn points by...
Completing the book before the return date (1 point)
Posting about the book and/or program on social media (1 point per post)
Requesting the book through local libraries (1 point per library)
Requesting that local bookstores order the book for their inventory (1 point per store, indie or chain)

Read & Earn Points
Q: What do you do when you’re done with the book?
A: Mail the book to the next team participant at the mailing address provided so they can send
it to the next reader!
Q: How do you find out which team you’re on?
A: You’ll receive an email with your team name and the members of your team.
Q: Who will receive your mailing address?
A: The program coordinator will keep all mailing addresses in a master list for smooth
tracking. Team captains will receive the mailing addresses of the participants on their team
only.
Q: Do you need to post about the book in order to be a part of the program?
A: As a program participant, you are encouraged to post about you participation in the
program using an image of the book. You are not required to post, but any posts will help
spread the word!
If you’re not on social media, please be sure to share a review to Amazon, NetGalley,
Storygraph, or Goodreads.
Q: What if you won’t be able to finish the book in time?
A: Let the program coordinator know so the timeline can be adjusted accordingly.
Q: Should you annotate the book?
A: You are welcome to annotate if that’s a part of your typical reading process, but annotating
is not required. Signing your name is allowed and encouraged!
Q: What if you lose or damage the book?
A: Notify the program coordinator right away. Please try to maintain the condition of the
book, but don’t stress if an accident happens!
